Course Disclaimer
This course is designed for educational purposes only. Light Therapy Resource provides a certificate of completion based on an assessment of the material presented in this course only. This is not a license to practice medicine, esthetics, or any other regulated profession.
Not Medical Advice
All content provided by Light Therapy Resource, including courses, lessons, quizzes, certificates, articles, videos, downloads, and any other material, is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, watched, or learned in our courses.
Educational vs. Vocational Use
This course is offered as general education, not as vocational or professional training. This certificate is for educational enrichment and does not grant the legal authority to perform light therapy on the public for compensation. Users must consult their local state, provincial, or national boards regarding any professional licensing requirements before offering services commercially.
Certificates Do Not Replace Professional Licensure
Any certificate of completion issued by Light Therapy Resource, including the "Certified Light Therapist" credential, is a private, educational certificate. It acknowledges that the student has completed our coursework and passed our assessments.
This certificate does not replace a state-issued professional license and does not authorize the holder to practice medicine, nursing, physical therapy, chiropractic, esthetics, massage, or any other regulated healthcare profession. It does not grant any legal right to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, injury, or medical condition.
You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws of your state, province, or country regarding the use of light therapy devices on yourself or others. If you intend to offer light therapy services commercially, you must verify your local scope-of-practice requirements with the appropriate regulatory board before doing so.
Safety & Contraindications
Light therapy is generally well tolerated, but it is not appropriate for everyone. Known contraindications include (but are not limited to) active cancer, pregnancy (over the abdomen, lower back, or pelvis), photosensitive epilepsy or seizure disorders, the use of photosensitizing medications, and direct unprotected eye exposure. Always screen yourself or any client for these conditions before use.
Assumption of Risk
By enrolling in our courses and by using any information presented, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk. Light Therapy Resource, its instructors, authors, and affiliates expressly disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of our materials or any device or protocol discussed.
No Practitioner-Client Relationship
Use of our website, courses, or any communication with our team does not create a practitioner-client, doctor-patient, or any other professional relationship between you and Light Therapy Resource.
